लोहड़ी
लोहड़ी का त्यौहार आने को है तैयार
जनवरी के महीने में ओ मेरे यार
लकड़ियों की पावन अग्नि जलेगी
फुल्लों पतासों की आहूती चढ़ेगी
ज़ोर ज़ोर से ढ़ोल बजेंगे
चारों तरफ लोहड़ी के गीत गूँजेंगे
हम भी मनायेंगे लोहड़ी के त्योहार को
संग अपने सोने से यार के

Lohri (Title of Poem)
Lohri ka tyohar aane ko hai taiyar (The festival of Lohri is set to arrive)
Janwari ki mahine mein o mere yaar (In the month of January oh my beloved)
Lakdiyon ki pawan agni jalegi (The pure fire will light up in the wood)
Phullo pataso ki ahuti chadhegi (Popcorns and groundnuts will be offered to the holy fire)
Zor zor se dhol bajenge (Drums will be played hard)
Charo taraf lohri ke geet gujenge (Songs of Lohri will be heard all around)
Ham bhi manayenge lohri ke tyohar ko (I will also celebrate the festival of Lohri)
Sang apne sohne se yar ke (With my beautiful beloved)
