तुम्हारी याद दिल से जाती नहीं (कविता का शीर्षक)

तुम से मिलने की आशा बहुत है मगर,
तुम से मिलने कि रुत है कि आती नहीं|
करूँ कितनी भी कोशिश दिल बहलाने की मगर,
एक तेरी याद दिल से है कि जाती नहीं ||

प्रेम कि राह में मुझको ले चली|
वो हाथ पकड़ के अपनी गली||
मैं तो चलता रहा उसी राह पर मगर,
अब मेरे पीछे वो है कि आती नहीं |
करूँ कितनी भी कोशिश दिल बहलाने की मगर,
एक तेरी याद दिल से है कि जाती नहीं ||

साथ चलने की चाहत तुम्हारी ही थी|
साथ जीने-मरने की कसमें भी तुम्हारी ही थी||
राह तकता हूँ मैं अब तक उसकी मगर,
वो है कि इस राह आती नहीं |
करूँ कितनी भी कोशिश दिल बहलाने की मगर,
एक तेरी याद दिल से है कि जाती नहीं ||

क्या हुई थी गलती हमें समझाओ तो|
दूर जाने की वजह हमें बतलाओ तो ||
हम पूछते रहे उन से मगर, वो है कि कुछ भी बताती नहीं |

Tum se milne ki aasha bahut hai magar,
Tum se milne ki rut hai ki aati nahi |
Karu kitni bhi koshish dil bahalane ki magar,
Ek teri yad dil se hai ki jati nahi ||

Prem ki rah me mujhko le chali|
Wo hath pakad ke apni gali||
Mai to chalta raha usi rah par magar,
Ab mere pichhe wo hai ki aati nahi |

Sath chalne ki chahat tumhari hi thi|
Sath jeene-marne ki kasmein tumhari hi thi||
Rah takta hu main ab tak magar,
Wo hai ki ab is rah aati nahi|

Dur jane ki vajah batlao to||

Your memories do not fade from my heart
I have high hopes of meeting you but,
The season of meeting you just does not arrive.
However hard I may try to convince my heart but,
your memories do not go away from my heart.

You took me on the path of love
while holding her hand in her street
I kept walking on the same path but,
now she does not follow me.
However hard I may try to convince my heart but,

It was only your wish to walk together
You only had pledged to live and die together.
I keep waiting for you on this path till now but,
she does not come on this path now.
